Topic: Alice Introductions
Time Duration: 1 hour 30 minute lecture 15 minutes class time
Grades: 3-5th
Today the instructor introduced computer programming to the students. The class went over
some programming vocabulary such as: comment tags, wait tags, do in order tags, do together
tags, etc. The instructor demonstrated how each tag worked. The class grouped together to
create stories for the computer program. The students listed what characters they wanted to
add to the program. Each group decided what objects and scenes they wanted in their program.
By the end of the day each group had a story to animate and a list of objects and characters
they wanted to add to the programs.
