Topic:Computer Programming Day 2

Grades: K-7th
Today the students began creating computer programs. The class was broken up into groups of
two. Each group began adding characters and objects to their Alice programs. The younger
students were really excited about all the different choices of characters that could be
added to the program. Some groups were finished adding characters so they began making the
codes for the program. The instructor assisted the students with how to understand the
codes. The instructor went through some examples of "tags". The students understood the
materials well so they began to create the codes for the programs. Most of the class time
today was for the students to work in groups to complete as much coding as possible.
