Topic: Fractions in Real LIfe

The class began with the teacher leading the students in a short discussion about fractions
and the applications of fractions in real life. The teacher explained to the students how to
do the assignment. The class went through the fraction finder applet on the interactivate
website. Students worked on activities while the teacher went around helping those who were
unable to open their web browsers. Class ended in a discussion about where fractions could
be applied in different fields. Some of the fields that were discussed were engineering,
chemistry, drug industry, medicine Computer science, and environmental science.
