Today, Ernie kicked off our unit on bitmap graphics. For this unit, we will be using
Gimpshop, the open-source equivalent of Photoshop, which is the industry standard bitmap
graphics manipulation program. The class had not previously seen this important concept in
detail.
Ernie introduced the basic tools of Gimpshop today through the use of some fun tutorials.
Students created several different images from scratch-- such as an egg shell-- and also
created montages using existing pictures.
