Today we were able to create the outline for our tic-tac-toe program. First, we did an
overview of how to make HTML tables and what they were used for on the Internet. We then
used tables to create a 3x3 grid of boxes on a webpage-- the boxes we would need for
tic-tac-toe.
Using our previous HTML knowledge, we inserted pictures into the table cells. The first
pictures we used represented a blank, unmarked space. We then used JavaScript event handlers
so that whenever the user moved the cursor over a picture, it changed to an alternate image.
This second image darkened the unmarked space, so users could tell where they were about to
make a play. We also used another event handler that would change back to the original image
once the cursor left the image.
