On Tuesday, we went over the first step of creating an animation in javascript: we created a
timer that called a function every second (or other regular time interval). Jonathan showed
how you could easily create a "count-up" program that would display a number that increased
by one every second. Then, he extended this idea, showing that instead of a number, you
could have it display a different word (from a pre-defined sequence of words) every second.
One student took this idea to the limit by creating a program that would display the words
of a song as the song played (she perfected her program's timing, which changed between
verses and choruses).
