Today, Jonathan introduced the week's project, which is our first big project in Javascript: to create a tic-tac-toe game. Jonathan explained how Javascript works-- what a computer script is, how you write one, and how you run it in your web browser.

We reviewed the material that Ismael had taught last week: how to embed javascript code in an HTML page, and how to write text onto the web page and show alert boxes. Next, we moved on to learning rollovers. We talked about what rollovers are and some uses of them on the web. Then, after students had found some images online that they wanted to use as the source for their rollovers, Jonathan led them in writing the javascript to make everything work.

At the end of the class, students had working rollovers on their pages. Rollovers will be one of the necessary components in constructing the tic-tac-toe game.
