For the younger students, on this day we created a musical instrument called a sound sandwich.
It is a very easy instrument to make and there isn't involved with creating the device. After
the students created the sound sandwich, we gave them a few websites that had music applets on
there, such as an online piano they the children could play by clicking the keys with the
mouse or play by using the keyboard.
For the older students, I introduced them to a program called garage band. Garage Band is a
program that lets you make sounds my customizing tracks of music using various instruments and
putting them together to create a song. After I gave them the basics of the program, I gave
them the task of creating a song by the end of the week.
