This day's course focused on the integration of graphics within the students' webpages; utilizing both Gimp and Inkscape, they learned basic image manipulation techniques. Ms. Marvin gave a brief demonstration of the tools for each program through select tutorials where, for example, the students added objects, changed backgrounds, and altered the exposure of a given photo. Afterwards, they were allotted ample time for experimentation, during which students were expected to create a final product - the goal being the creation of a personal icon that would later be displayed within the header of their webpage.
