Eric and Isabelle started out the class by giving all of the students a template with which they could start their website. It was a double column layout, with a navigation bar, a header and a footer. The main goal of the class was to take the template that they had received, and to change the template to something that the students wanted to make. Eric and Isabelle assisted the students when they had questions and coding problems.
After all of the students had used the template, they added information about themselves. They also changed the colors and borders of the given divs. Divs are containers that separate information so that they can have characteristics applied to them. The instructors were very efficient and detailed when describing the different aspects of HTML and CSS to the students. The students did not seem to have very many problems because Isabelle gave a lot of good tips to use with CSS and HTML.
