Today, Dr. Rhett Davis from NC State taught the students about electrical engineering. Dr. Davis discussed and explained the circuit elements and how they react to each other as constructed.
The students began their experiments using circuit boards along with many other elements such as a resistor, batteries, and nodes. The goal was to carefully construct a blinking LED light on the circuit board. Some of the elements the students used included batteries, resistors, capacitors, and LED lights. In the second half of the morning, the students used an online Java Applet to experiment with what they had learned.
