The students learned about java. The students created an SIR (susceptible, infected, and recovered) model. SIR Models are models that can predict how many people that are susceptible to an infection get infected and then recover. The students learned how input the code for slider bars. By the end of the class, they all had working SIR models with slider bars to change different variables.
