Today was the first day of the Training for Success (TFS) after-school graphics class. The
teachers, Ismael Torres and Jonathan Stuart-Moore, talked with the class about plans for the
semester. We discussed what computer graphics and web design were, and why they were good
skills to know in today's workplace.
We took pictures of all the class members, which students could use later for their
websites. For the remainder of the class, we let students begin a short PowerPoint
presentation about themselves. While they made these, they were supposed to contemplate the
process of design and think about the choices they were making in terms of fonts, colors,
etc.
