Jonathan taught a program called Processor where the students could write the code for an interactive graphic. Emily held an interactive discussion with the students about creativity and conceptual design. They talked about the relation of conceptual design in graphic design and the difference between conceptual design and regular art. Emily explained to them the concept of creativity being inside every one and that having creative talent is a matter of channeling it. As a class they looked at famous logos and analyzed them, defining the message the logo is giving. They also looked at different fonts and chose specific fonts to convey messages of their choice. The students were also taught how to prepare and successfully deliver a presentation of the project they would be doing in groups. Heather went over the options for their projects and the students were allowed to choose their groups and their creative projects.
