A science park for Durham

The Shodor Education Foundation is a nonprofit education and research corporation dedicated to reforming and improving mathematics and science education by incorporating appropriate computational and communication technologies. Their empathes are several: teaching science and mathematics by using computational and communication tools in the same ways as do professionals; developing numerical models and simulations integrated with the curriculum; professional development; and network access to support the use of computational tools in learner-centered environments. By developing curricula and working directly with teachers and students, the foundation is bringing the computational tools of science into the classroom.
