The workshop started off with the students reviewing the wolf and rabbit model. After this, Levi transitioned into a group project. The group project was the students were to create an agent model. The students decided to base their model on what they learned yesterday from the sick people model. Levi and the students discussed what the parameters for their model would be. After this, the students signed into agent cubes online and Levi began to explain the modeling program to them. They began working on a dynamic model of a virus spreading within a population. The students took a brief break. After break, the students continued working on their models. Different commands and parameters were set into the model in order for it to function like a real world epidemic. After this was done, Levi showed the students how to use a timer in the model. This aspect of the model counts certain agents within the model. This allows whoever is using the model to observe certain factors within a model. In the students specific model, this allowed them to know the actual count of sick, healthy, and susceptible people within their model. Levi finished off the workshop by allowing the students to try and make a doctor that spawned from a hospital and healed people within the world. Lastly, the students did their daily reflections before they left.
