The following reports were written by members of Environmental Science during the third day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Today we worked with gasses and the ozone layer and an applet from chicago university that calculates reflected lights from X kilometers away.

Candice

Today was interesting for me. We talked about gases and the periodic table and it gave me a great reveiw of things that I learned in Physical Science. Our experiment showed that carbon dioxide made from vinager and baking soda hold up bubbles of soap just above the air. I didn't much care for the lesson on ozone but I got to practice with spread sheets.

Tony

Today was quite an excellent day and we all did some very intresting activities and had fun. Today we did an experiment on carbon dioxide with baking soda and vinegar. We combined the two and saw carbon dioxide at work. I for one had a great time today and I hope to have a good one tommorrow.

Trokon

Today was very exciting. we were able to see how baking soda and vinegar reflect carbon and soap. It was cool tos sea bubbles susppended in midair.

Camille

Today was very fun, alot better than yesterday. I got alot of questions answerd that I wanted to know about skin color. Wetalked alot about gases in the atmosphere and mostly carbon dioxide. we also did a fun experiment with baking soda vinegar and bubbles. Can't til tommrow!!

Nettie

Today we first talked about the element chart and how to put together different molocules. Then we went outside and made carbon dioxide out of vinegar and baking soda. Then we graphed the amount of light that passes through different layers of the atmosphere. It was fun.

Azariah

Today at the beggining of class we talked about elements and we learned how to draw different types of elements. We also saw an experiment using baking soda, vinegar, and bubbles. In the experiment we saw that when we put baking soda and vinegar in an aquarium which made fizz and I, personally got to blow bubbles into the aqaurium and the bubbles floated on top of the carbon dioxide which was made by the fizz. I had a wonderful time today.

Arielle

Today we talked about The Periodic table. Then we did a fun experiment thing with bubbles, baking soda, and vinegar which was very fun.

Lateya

Today we had fun.We did an experiment.
