Candid Student Reports

The following reports were written by members of Math Explorations during the fourth day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Mauricio

Taday was funb looking at how 3 graphs that were excactly the same graph looked like 3 completely different graphs when reasllly all that had happened was thta they had changed the intervals and scale. It was also cool looking at how long it would take to count to a million and how a million seconds is 12 days. It was also strange looking inside a leaf.

Kennia

I love this camp it is so much fun.

Elvis

math we learned about the scientific notation. And we got to talk about million's. And got to look at stars.

Gray

dunno what to say. learned a bit, yeah, it was fun, just like the other days. i did fine.

Avery

Today we made graphs of rollor coster's length and biggest drop. we saw how grphs look different even when they show the same data. We estimated how long it would take us to count to a million. Then we reviewed scientific notation.

Robert

Today we learned about scientific notation. Also we learned about charts.

Bianca

today we learned about big numbers and scienticfic notation. IT was fun to learn about the big numbers and how to use them
