Candid Student Reports


The following (emails) were written by members of the Math Explorers Club during the second session of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.


Todays camp lasted forever, but we had some fun. we learned about
logic, and played soccer with a juice box
Robert

I had a lot of fun screwing up the data of the graph so that it
didn't look right, I worked on a math problem that delt with a casier that was
being cheated by a customer and I also learned about the different types of
logical errors
Tim

Today, we learned about math abuse.  The first part of this section
was about graphs.  The graph part was really fun.  The second part was about
types of math abuse.  It was sort of interesting.  The third and last part was
about logical errors.  It was pretty easy.  It was also pretty interesting.
Brenton and Aaron

Today we talked about logic and logical errors.  we also talked about
math abuse.  we talked about how companies advertise and how they manipulate
the data to their advantage.

We played a big game of S.O.S.  It was a very interesting game.
Leon was in the lead until Ms. Maria gave us some graphing paper.  Then we
had a big sheet of S.O.S. board.

Today We learned about logic and error. We did problems about
logic and error. On worksheets and we did a graph on Claris Works.The graph
showed a scale about how competive companies come down and go up. We had a
great day today, and lots of fun!
Ebonee and Jessica

Today we all did worksheets. Then we had a break for juice
After our break for juice we did more worksheets, we
even got to act out some I was in one of them.
 we are still working on it.
