Candid Student Reports

The following (emails) were written by members of the ISE class during the second session of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Today at the S.U.C.C.E.E.D. camp, we learned that you shouldn't make asuumtions based on trial. For example, just because things are similar, doesnt mean that they are the same thing. We learned about France, and how computations science can work.

Joey and Max

today in the internet class we learned how not to judge something by the way it looks on the outside. we also learned how you need to observe the subject before you get to a conclusion.

keni and kevin

Today in computer class we chatted with everyone in the class, anne, and her dad. Our teachers taught us how to use the camera to show our pictures on the chat room. It was cool. We also learned about obsevations. Two high school graduates came in and taught us about how to find out the population, the birth rate, and the death rates of countries. All in all day 3 was good!

Drew and Brandon

Today we learned that sometimes scientist need help or more like another opinion because another scientist can see or observe something that the other scientist might have skipped over. Today we also learned that when make population dynamic models you must keep track of the population, birth rate, and also death rate. Also, we went outdside and did an experiment with eggs.We thought that all the eggs were either boiled or raw but when Bob 1 cracked them open we found in some of them air, water, and dish washing soap.

Tenisha

Today in Internet Explorations I learned about how a piece of information can be necessary but not sufficient. I learned the three main principles of computational science, application (jewel), algorhythm (way of use), and architecture (tool). The population dynamics was fascinating. I feel that I will benefit from this class.

Sonny

Today we learned the pop. of France. Bob1 taught us about computational science. Today we also taught Monte how to make a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich.
