Candid Student Reports

The following reports were written by members of Forensic Science during the second day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

It was a fun day.

Alex

I had fun today as well. We made a Stella® model of the decomposition of a dead body. Gross, but fun. We also tried to crack a code and tested the observations of other people as well as ourselves!

Matt

Today was still ok as we did some pretty cool things like the Stella® program. I also liked some of the perception things but the thing with the investigation was not as interesting. It was still ok.

Alan

I had fun at this camp today... we learned about dead body decomposition.

Karyee

I had fun. I knew mostly everything! I learned about maggots and decomposition.

Mathew

Today we tried to figure out codes, but nobody decoded it. Then we acted like investigators.

Erin

This morning we made models of decomposed dead bodies. I think it is very educational but a little boring. I thought the code breaking part we learned yesterday was prety cool. I would like to learn more about that.

Bruce and David

I liked that we could build the dead body decomposition model. I didn't like that it took so long. After a while it got sort of boring to me. I also liked that we could play the memory games that would help you remember things more I do believe.

Ethan
