    Fall Projects

  • Coin Flip:

    A model in Microsoft Excel that counts the total number of head variables out of a total. The model displays the number of heads over the total as a decimal.

  • Rabbits Model:

    A Venism model that calculates the number of a population of rabbits using several variables such as the birth rate and the competion between the rabbits.

  • Iteration Examples:

    This is an Microsoft Excel model that shows a clock and a diffusion model.

  • Programming Concepts:

    This is an Microsoft Excel model that has a slider bar and a check box that controls the intercept of a slope model. It also has a pets model with a slider bar that controls the number of cats.

  • Simple Population Model:

    A Microsoft Excel model that shows a line graph of a population and slider bars to change the birth rate and competition factors of the model.

  • Fall Group Project Website:

    This website has all of the descriptions that me and Chris Parker made for the Venism and Agent models we did in the fall.

    An agent model with a disease spreading rapidly all over the world.

  • Healthy vs Sick Model

    A Venism model that runs a graph of the healthy and sick populations.

  • Parallel Computing Notebook:

    This google document was used as a notebook to record all of the parallel computing concepts that we've learned in the spring.

  • Forest Fire Model:

    This was the spring group project that I did with Ameya, who is also an apprentice. It is a model of a fire spreading around a forest with also firefighters to put out the fire. The fire and firefighter agents are moving around randomly during the simulation and the fire fighter has a percent chance to put out a fire agent when it's next to one.
