Fast Food Model

System Model

This is a system model which shows the total profits of a fast food company which operates on a 24 hour basis. People come into the restaurant (Incoming), order their food (Purchase), and then leave. The profit calculated is based on the number of burgers produced (Burgers) and the other costs associated with the restaurant. Keep in mind that the graph shows the TOTAL profit that the company has generated, not the profit calculation for each hour. VensimPLE is required to run the software. Download Vensim here and download the model here

To use the model, hit the "SyntheSim" on the control panel bar on the top of the screen. This will allow the user to interact with the model. When you interact, you may do things such as change the rent expense, or the amount per burger. Your changes will be shown in the graph, which is on the right of the screen. While you change the amounts that contribute to the graph, think about whether or not the company would be economically benefitting if these changes take place in real life.
