Another Problem 2

Question:

Evaluate the following to 6 significant digits:

Solution:
 .0433183

Sketch:

As with the previous problems, the careful use of parentheses is needed to ensure that you divide by the entire denominator. And you need parentheses to ensure you take the square root of the entire numerator.

In the answer above, there are 7 digits, but the leading zero is just a "place holder" so .0433183 is correct to 6 significant digits.

The following key strokes will produce the answer:

SQRT ( 3 + 2 ^ 3 ) / ( 3 + 4 * 5 ^ 2 - ( 2 + PI ) ^ 2 )
