Today was funny becuase one beam held likk,e 80 pounds when it sholdnt ha ve held that much. It was also fun creating our own and finding the maximum amount of inertia and guessing how much weight it would probably hold i cant wait till tommorow to see who got the closest guess.

Jordan

My favorite thing today was designing our beams at the end of the class. I liked that. I also liked when we went downstairs to see how much weight the beams would hold before they snapped. I was suprised at the weight the second one caried.
Thanks,
Jordan

It was fun today to see the sturafome break!!!!! I hope we will have as much fun tommorrow breakin' our own styrafoambeams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Hope I understand it better tommorrow!!!!

Eleanor

I liked testing the beams. It was fun.

Sean

Today, we finished up our previous lesson on density and volume and went to our next one,"Beam me down". We tested the strength of a styrofoam beam by putting weigts on it.

Alex

TODAY WAS FUN BECAUSE WE WERE SEEING HOW MUCH WEIGHT A STIRAPHONE COULD HOLD AND THE FIRST BROKE AT 26LB. AND THE SECOND ONE BROKE AT 54LB BUT THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE BRICK IT WAS ON WAS TILTED SO THAT IT HELD MORE THAN IT WAS SUPPOSSE TO.

Suzy

Today we figured out how much weight different sized styrafome blocks can hold, and tomorow we will be building our own I hope it holds alot!!!!!!!!
