The following (emails) were written by members of the Forensic Science, 2000 during the third day of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Today was pretty fun, I was a little disappointed because in the court case that we are doing, I wasn't able to be the Head Prosecutor just because my name wasn't pulled out of a hat. It was OK but it got a little boring.

I thought the trash arceology was the most fun.

I thought that it was very boring today and we only had one good thing today and that was when we did the trash can thing that was fun. I think that Renee was very good today.

We had an interesting day. In the morning we did a decomposition model. Though a long process, it was fun. Monte was very informative. In the afternoon we mostly broke many type of codes. Visiting ecode De Code was a great experience. We also did an exercise were we inspected people's trash. This was an extremely fun experience, though with a few problems..

today was not one of my best days in this class.to tell the truth it started out kind of dull. But then it picked up (kind of), but I did likeworking with the group.well gotta go hit later in life..

-Phillip

today was very fun. we learned many different ways to crack secret codes. Today we found out that we would be participating in a fake case. I got the chance to play the role of and investergater.

-Amber

The bungie jumping exercise that we did this morning was very interesting. I enjoyed using logic to figure out the modeling part. The Stella Exercise furthered my understanding of the program and was enjoyable. Trying to understand people by their trash was also an interesting exercise, but it was somewhat disorganized. I liked the codebreaking part at the end.
