Candid Student Reports

The following (emails) were written by members of the Math Explorations, Session B during the fifth day of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Today we had a guest teacher. He taught us about the many ways 
to use the rotations and flips of triangles. This class was a very good 
experince for us. Maybe, next year you can make the coarse a little longer
than a week). We really liked this coarse. Thank you.


Tasha, Tyrone, and Lauren

We learned about symitry and how fliping and rotating [triangles] 
are very different if Mike(this classes instuctor) doesn't see 
this tell him i'm sorry for goffing off and not paying attention.

I have very much fun in Math Exporation. I have learned a lot 
of things here. i learned lots of patterns in this class. In class,
i am happy that I have come here.

It was intresting, but there was a lot of talking so I didn't 
pay attention the whole time. It was fun in some ways too.

Today was boring except for making and playing with the snowflakes.

I had a good time in math explorations all week.  The material 
was good and the teachers were nice.  It had a good hands on approach 
and we used computers alot.  I learned that math is not just numbers 
and symbols and that it can be substituted in many mays
