Candid Student Reports

The following (emails) were written by members of the Internet Science Explorations, 2000 during the fourth day of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

We made web pages. It was ok.

Greg and Jon

Today we worked on getting ready for the global chat with the scientists we will be talking to tomorrow.

Ben and James

Today we had an introduction to our internet chat we are going to have tomorrow. We can't wait to talk with all the scientists.

Sophia and Estelle

Today in internet scince explorations I had fun looking at molecules and making my own web page.

Ryan

This afternoon class was so fun I got to chat to other people in the classroom on the internet. Tomorrow I will be glad to chat to the scientists. Corretlyn with out breaking any rules. I hope nobody breaks the rules either.

B'anca

We learned a lot about ther internet and how to make your own web page. Also the basics on chating online and how people make molecules using a computer. Which is a lot cheaper and faster than making the actual molecule in a science lab. This class is very productive and entertaining.

Theodore and Ruth

Today we made our own websites. That was something we have never done before on the internet. Sarah thought the questions were outrageously to personal and not very smart. But, Tekoa was just glad to make her own website. Next Bob2 came and talked to us about aspirin molecules (that was very interesting). He taught us how to make an aspirin molecule on the computer and that aspirin molecules are made of hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon. Then we went on Global Chat and talked to our classmates. We learned a lot while having fun at the same time.

Tekoa ans Sarah

Today we started off having fun by using computer cameras and watching other people on the monitor. Then we tried to get our web pages for the internet ready. It was fun. see you tommorrow!
