The purpose of this activity is to provide you with an authentic problem that faces many scientists, decision-makers, politicians and citizens everyday. Atmospheric pollutants when mixed with rain form acid rain which is highly undesirable. The path or transport of the atmospheric pollutants obviously effect the places where acid rain is possible. In this scenario you will have the opportunity to learn specifically about the pollutant ethane and the equilibrium status between the southern and northern hemispheres.

Before you begin trying out different situations on the run the model page, it is important that you have read enough information about the transport of atmospheric pollutants on the other pages to understand what you are modeling.
