The Haber Process

The Model

This model simulates the chemical reaction called the Haber Process, where N2 and H2 react to produce NH3, ammonia. In the model, the red particles are nitrogen and the black particles are hydrogen. In order to see the model run and for the reaction to occur, press the play button. The step button will show the particles' behavior after a single time step. The reset button brings the model back to how it started. There are also buttons below that allow the user to change the beginning parameters of the model, including how quickly the particles move, how large the canvas/container is, and how many N2 and H2 particles the model starts with. Finally, there is a counter that displays the number of ammonia molecules that have been produced.
