Welcome To My Homepage!

My name is Amber Turner, and I am an intern with The Shodor Education Foundation, Inc., in Durham, NC. They're a non-profit organization that is presently trying to find the role that the Internet might play in an everyday classroom. I am at the foundation because of an internship program called Youth Looking At The Future Today (YLFT).

While I've been here I've explored the Internet, and since I'm interested in law, looked up Web sites pertaining to law. During my internship, I went and talked to the lawyer of the foundation. The lawyer's name is Richard Bradford and he is the sole proprietor and lawyer of his small law office . Mr. Bradford was very helpful and interesting.

My other interests besides law are reading, violin, and soccer. I attend Carrington Middle School in Durham, N.C. and will be entering the eighth grade in late August.

I've lived in North Carolina for six months. Previously, I lived in Shawnee, KS.
The two states really aren't that different except for the accents, driving (worse in N.C.), and music. The landscape is more diverse in that North Carolina is hillier and has a beach, mountains, and more foliage.

I know that this might surprise people, but Kansas gets more new music from all types than North Carolina. You'd think it would be the other way around with N.C. being on the East Coast. My favorite groups are the 'Fugeez, Pearl Jam, and Oasis. (Bush is pretty good too.)

As for academics, I enjoy and do well in English and foreign languages.
