Scientific Programming is a workshop for students who want to learn more about the computing that goes on behind computational science. The workshop is intended as a primer for students interested in interning with the Shodor Foundation, as well as a general scientific programming course. Students will learn the skills required for basic numerical programming and the display of such on the internet. We will cover algorithms and their implementation using both Perl and Java computer languages.

Students will work collaboratively in groups and share their work with the rest of the class on a regular basis. Ability to work and play well with others will be stressed.
