Candid Student Reports

The following reports were written by members of Modeling Your World, Session A during the second day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Today's study on the ozone was fun. It was really interesting to learn about different ozone levels and inversions. I really liked smog city.

David

Today we learned about weather. I thought that doing the graphs about inversions was fun. Also, at the beginning of the day we did things with ropes and that was also enjoyable. I think that there should be more games outside like the one we did yesterday about the predators and prey. We should be able to get outside more. However this is a very enjoyable experience.

Nathalie

Today was great! I learned so much about the weather, including the ozone layer, and inversions. That was cool. I also learned more about molecules and atoms of the elements. It was very interesting. Neat! Some vocabulary words were air quality, NOx, VOC's, and other stuff.

Jason

I liked the ozone thing and I thought it was great but I think you need better computers.

Jackson

Today was fun. We learned more about the ozone layers and the weather.

David

I liked seeing what a meteorologist sees, but Shodor needs faster computers!
