The students started class by timing the length of time it took for different objects to fall to the ground. This activity showed the students how much of an effect gravity has on falling or orbitting objects. When the students came inside they begin to work on the Galaxsee program.

The Galaxsee program allows the students to model different structures that can move. The students used Galaxsee to model the distance between two stars and the program simulated that actual effect the distance and gravitational pulls have on the stars. The students seemed to understand the model and could run it easily. They also seemed to enjoy the activity because it made things that seem to be unreachable more accessible.
