Class began on the third day with a couple discussions outside for a change. The class talked about how everyday objects such as balls can model several different things. For example stationary balls model differently than ones that are in motion, and if more than one ball is used a lot more things can be modeled.

The class then began to discuss what role o-zone plays in our lives. They learned the bad effects o-zone can have at the surface as well as the good effects it has in the o-zone layer. The students then used their new found knowledge to run the OZIP air quality model on a computer. The model showed what relation NOx emissions and the O3 have in the real world.
