Candid Student Reports

The following (emails) were written by members of the Internet Science Exploration during the first session of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

I liked the whole thing. My favorite part was when we went to bad-web.com. This is more interesting than modeling your world.

Leon

I learned about how to make different web sites. How the inernet became world wide web, and how to make wierd planes on bad web.

Adam

I had fun today. I liked making the airplanes in Bad Web. The least amount of money a ticket cost was 275$. I made some wired planes. Adam made the wiredest planes.

Benjamin

I enjoyed this class because we got to use fun programs like Eudora Light and Netscape Navigator. We each also got an e-mail adress! I can't wait till tommorow so that I can learn some more.

Aaron

Today I learned a lot about the internet. I learned that the internet was started in 1969 and World Wide Web began in 1982. I enjoyed the computers and the new people I met. Hopfully I'll continue to learn more and expand on what I already know about the internet and computers.

Ari

Today I learned exactly how the internet works, and when it was made. I also learned how to conduct an organized scientific expiriment. I thought it was fun when we went to "Badweb", which is a webpage where you expirement with a plain and try to fly it a certain distance with the lowest amount of cost.

Conrad

I learned how to make an airplane fly from New York to Sanfrancisco safely for a low price, I also learned about how the routers, hubs, and computers work together to deliver messages. I think that I liked learning about the routers, hubs, and the computers work together.

Steven
