Summer Outdoor Ed-Ventures

Canoeing, rafting, overnight camping, and night walks highlight these six-day residential camps for 12 rising seventh-grade girls. As they explore North Carolina's waterways and the rich wildlife those waterways support, the campers design a natural science activity, which they later present in their schools.

Selection: based on demonstrated interest in science and teacher recommendation. The Museum encourages applications from across North Carolina.
