Our Architecture is the tool we use to compute. In most cases, this would be the computer, but it could be the fingers you add on, a pencil and paper used to store intermediate results, or a graphing calculator used to visualize results.

The goal of the Java programming language is "write once, run everywhere". Java was developed to be a robust object oriented programming language that would run on a variety of different types of computers.

JavaScript is a programming language embedded in most browsers that allows for computation to be performed within a web page without the need to load additional software other than the browser and the web page. Like Java, its strength is the variety of platforms on which it is supported.
