Neuse

The Neuse River is a true North Carolina river. Its headwaters (where it begins, its source) are found in Orange and Person counties and then it flows to the ocean, at the Pamlico sound. Twenty-three counties are affected by the Neuse River because their water drains into the river. Is your county one of them? Here is a list of them:
Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Greene, Harnett, Johnston, Jones, Lenoir, Nash, Onslow, Orange, Pamlico, Person, Pitt, Sampson, Wake, Wayne, and Wilson
Over 1 million people are supported by the river! That's a lot of people!
