After 30 years of providing educational resources, workshops, internships, and apprenticeships for computational science education, Shodor officially ceased operations on June 30, 2024. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Shodor community during this time!
Shodor's founder and executive director, Dr. Robert M. Panoff, passed away in 2025 (read his obituary here); people who wish to honor his decades of work to make computational science education better can do so by contributing to the Robert M. Panoff Scholarship for Excellence in Computational Science at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. Donations can be made online or checks can be mailed to the NCSSM Foundation.
The Shodor website is no longer active. Some of the educational resources, tools, and materials that were hosted here are being moved to new locations. Please update your bookmarks and links accordingly.
