Open-ended questions, projects, and presentations are utilized throughout the course to assess each student's work in problem solving, reasoning, and communication.

Exploring the full range of middle school topics, this series encourages students to think mathematically, make decisions, and prepare for courses in algebra and geometry.

The books are labeled Book 1, Book 2, and Book 3. Many school systems use these in grades 6, 7 and 8, respectively. Each book consists of eight modules. Each module has four to six sections.
