I have had many experiences with math and sciences in my life. Some of them include taking math classes two years above my grade level, starting algebra in fifth grade, and competing in a team at Math Counts as a representitive of my school. I have greatly being above grade level in math because it expands my thinking and actually adds a level of challenge to my average school day. Starting algebra in fifth grade was very challenging for me due to several reasons. I had extra math homework that need to be done each and every night, after each algebra session I had to go to my normal math teacher to get all of my missed assignments, this meant that I had to do all my homework for algebra in addition to work from my normal class. Lastly, I also had to take the IOWA math test at the end of the fifth grade year. It involved many types of math I had never seen before, and even though i did not do too bad on it, I did not achieve a high enough grade to take IAG 1 in sixth grade.

On saturday, during the first class session I learned about the rules that we have to follow at Shodor, along with basic HTML language. We spent the first three hours of class going over the apprentices handbook and taking a tour of the office. After that we logged into our personal accounts and accessed our mail, changed passwords etc. We then had lunch break for one hour and resumed class. We began to learn about HTML format and started our own personal websites using the application text wrangler. We then wrote down our assignments and spent the remainder of class composing our journal entries.

I learned a little about CSS today in class. I am excited to start my CSS Challange because it seems like it will be fun and challanging to re-make a website rather then taking the source code. I am also looking forward to working with the math activities, because I really like solving math problems.

I learned alot of CSS. I am very happy because I can now finish my CSS challange assignment. I also learned alot of javascript. This will help me make flash ads to put on my website. I can also add them to other personnal sites that I own. I am also looking forward to using CSS more in general. I am also hoping to explore other website's CSS and HTML files.
