What did you learn today or this week that you're most excited about?
I heard Mobeen will be teaching a scripting class with some bash and perl.

What did you do that you are most proud of?
Joel created a ticket for the workshops new student accounts where created they were having issues opening firefox, java, and many other programs. Found that the new accounts were missing permissions on Application Support dir under ~/Library. Fixed permissions so that the application could properly store user and temp data for the classroom, resolved ticket.

What have you heard about that you are hoping to learn more of?
Looking forward to the scripting class to brush up. Going to sent Mobeen some of my more useful perl scripts.

Who (among Shodor staff and your peers) helped you the most? How did they help you?
Kara informed me of a macbook pro that was having issues, on boot it would boot to white screen and disk drive would spin. Looked for a live fedora disk to see if we could boot something to see what was going on but found a disk already in the disk drive. Fixing it will require connecting via usb/firewire or taking it apart.

Rahul was asking about where to take out the recycling told him where to go and which bins are for what.

What major tasks did you accomplish/complete this week?
Fixed the student accounts that where having application issues. While fixing the classroom checked network connections found one bad cable replaced it and discarded the bad. Cleaned out webmaster queue of spam.
