1) My Experience with Math and Science: October 20, 2007

I have had many experiences with math and science inside and outside of school. In school I have been academically ahead. I took Pre-Algebra in sixth grade, Algebra in seventh, and Geometry and Algebra II is Eighth. At Enloe I am currently taking Pre-Calculus.In science I have followed the 6th, 7th, and 8th curriculum and now in 9th grade I am currently taking (Honors) Biology. At Enloe I am also taking Computer Science I and II. Also through my middle school years I have taken about five Shodor workshops. So i have been deeply exposed to both the math and sciences. My experiences in both math and science are both very positive.My favorite subject in school is Math and science is almost my second favorite. I enjoy doing laboratories in Biology but also taking my past knowledge in Algebra II and expanding it in Pre-Caulculus.I enjoy math so much because there is always a right answer but there is many ways to find it and thats my favorite part about math. So over all my experiences with math and science have been extensive but I have enjoyed it very much.

2) What I learned on my first day: October 20, 2007

On my first day I learned many things about; Shodor, Aprrentices, HTML, and Apple Computers. First off I learned the policies, landscape, and people at Shodor. I met many other apprentices during lunch and teachers in the class. During the introduction I learned certain things people enjoy doing. I also learned quite a bit about Apple Computers. How to save, open, format, and manage your account. I had only ever used an apple computer during the workshops and since I will be using them more often I familiaralized myself with them. Lastly I learned beginner HTML programming. I leanred how to make an unordered list, hyperlink a website, and lastly write in a paragraph using HTML programming.

3) What I learned on my Second day: November 17, 2007

I learned many things this week like gimpshop, Inkscpape, and a little bit of CSS and they all excited me. What most excited me was definitely Inkscape. I like Inkscape a lot because it helped me make a really cool logo for my website. Also I liked using it to make a prototype for my website because that way I can get an idea of what I wanted before I actually had to do it. Inkscape was really useful and the more I used and explored it the me neat features I found. I am mostly proud of my prototype and logo. Even though I still need to do a little work on it I definitely like the way it turned out today when I was making both the prototype and the logo. Also my Logo is a mixture of text, shapes, colors, and designs, which I interpreted as I made them and I thought they were really well made even though it took me a long time and a lot of work. The first and only thing that I have been wanting to learn more about is CSS. I have achieved a little CSS on my own and through w3schools. com. However I do not really feel to comfortable so I am very looking forward to next weeks class when we finally learn CSS and I will be able to apply it to my webpage. I think that CSS will make my website look better to me and a lot more professional. So the thing that I head about that I am hoping to learn more about it CSS.

4) What I learned on my Third day: December 1, 2007

I learned a lot of CSS with Monte teaching and it was really nice because it not only improved my website and made writing web design things a lot easier. I am excited because now that I know how to do it I can improve my website in a faster more efficient way. I also learned specific things that I probably would not have known using w3 schools. com. Finaly as I said before the thing I learned this week was CSS. I am most proud of the website I made and the web page design I made last week. Know my website has CSS attached to it so changing the web design that I made last week and applying it to my website should be a lot easier that it was before. I also now know how to do many things. I am proud of my website because it is probably the coolest thing I have done on a computer because I typed up all the programming for it. I am definitely looking forward to learning more about Net Logo and modeling programming. I have heard, seen, and even used some of Netlogo. However I have not used it to a full extent and I have recently learned new things at school that I feel will help me in understanding how to right a net logo program.

5) What I learned and experienced on my Fourth day: December 15, 2007

I learned a lot of CSS with Ismael teaching and it was really nice because it not only improved my website and made writing web design things a lot easier. This time however we did a lot of new things that I was anticipating to learn. I am excited because now that I know how to do it I can improve my website in a faster more efficient way. I also learned specific things that I probably would not have known using w3 schools. com. Finally as I said before the thing I learned this week was CSS.I am most proud of inserting a picture into my own web page and modifying at I pleased because before I had it wrong. I really worked on it a lot and am more proud of it even though I still need some work. I am also very proud of some advances I learned and made with CSS programing and also validating my program. I am definitely looking forward to learning more about Net Logo,modeling, and more programming. I have heard, seen, and even used some of Netlogo; However I have not used it to a full extent. I have recently learned new things at school that I feel will help me in understanding how to right a net logo program. So that is why I am looking forward to using netlogo and many other modeling programs at Shodor.

6) What I learned and experienced on my Fifth day: January 12 2008

Agent sheets was definitely the most exciting thing I learned this week. It was a completely different experience. We finally started the modeling portion in the second module. I have been looking forward to net logo but am also happy that we did agent sheets. I really enjoyed the flu model I had I even had a doctor. So I am very excited that we learned agent sheets this week. I am most proud of the group project, and also the agent sheets model that I made. For the group project I worked very hard on the HTML and CSS and I finally got it this week to look how I desired from the start. I am also very proud of the agent sheet. I not only mad sick healthy and a leader but also made a doctor on my own. The design and just learning it and applying agent sheets made me really proud. I am hoping to learn more of two things. First off the teacher told us there was many other cool things to learn about agent sheets so I am looking forward to that. Also as always I am looking forward to learning more about netlogo. Both of these are modeling projects and I am really into modeling.

7) What I learned and experienced on my Sixth day: January 26, 2008

I learned a lot more about agent sheets this week. I am very excited about it because it seems interesting, and fun. It is a little tricky but I think that it could be a useful modeling tool. I also learned a couple of presenting ideas and information by a Cisco worker. I am very happy that he taught us that because I have to present many projects at school all the time. I am most proud of improving both my website and also improving the agent sheets model. For my website I added new; layout, color, and also information. I now made it so that I have a home page and then from there you can access information about the required data and also me for Shodor. For the agent sheets I have made a rabbit and wolves that work and interact with the growing grass. The rabbits run around and eat grass while the wolves go around eating the rabbits. I am still as always still hoping to learn more about Netlogo. I have still been looking forward to that this whole time. This is because I made a really cool sky diving simulation with it and am hoping to do more with modeling using NetLogo.
