About Me

Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Leanne Chan and I am an apprentice at Shodor. I am 14 years old and will be in the Apprenticeship Program from the fall of 2016 to the summer of 2017. Currently, I am a freshman at the Durham School of the Arts. I started taking Shodor workshops in the summer of 6th grade and I loved it! I also did the Scholars program at Shodor before becoming an apprentice. In the future, I may want to become an intern at Shodor to continue learning and being involved in computer technology. At school, my favorite subjects are art and math. I like art because I get to design and create things that are unique and different. I like math because there is a lot of problem solving and thinking involved. At Shodor, I hope to learn about modeling and programing. I also hope to gain experience collaborating with others. I want to work with my peers, mentors, and instructors to learn about STEM and skills I will be able to use for the rest of my life. My mentor is Ernie and I hope to learn a lot from him. When I am not at school or Shodor, my hobbies include drawing, painting, playing piano, and fencing. I have been fencing for 7 years. It is very fun and exciting. I am looking forward to the Apprenticeship program this year!
