Kaylynn at Shodor

Hello my name is Kaylynn Webb. I am a junior at Southern Durham High School and a second year apprentice at Shodor. My experience here at Shodor has been by far an amazing one. Over the past two years I've learned a wide range of skills that not many high school students can say they have. I am now able to create my own webpage, build interactive models that relate to real life scenarios, edit video footage, and so much more. Before becoming an apprentice I spent my Saturdays sleeping and summers watching reruns of Law and Order. But now as an apprentice my Saturdays and summers are always filled with activity and learning. There is always work to be done while at Shodor. Not only have I gained computer skills but I've also gained lifelong people skills that will help me in the real world. Through the apprenticeship program I've made friends that come from all different parts of the area.

I am currently in the top five percentile in my class. I hope to sustain this position until I graduate from school. Beyond high school I plan to attend a four-year college/university to major in pre-law. After completing those four years of college I will continue on to law school. I hope to complete law school and then start my career as a lawyer.
