The applet requires Java 1.4.1 or higher. It will not run on Windows 95 or Mac OS 8 or 9. Mac users must have OS X 10.2.6 or higher and use a browser that supports Java 1.4. (Safari works, IE does not. Mac OS X comes with Safari. Open Safari and set it as your default web browser under Safari/Preferences/General.) On other operating systems, you may obtain the latest Java plugin from Sun's Java site.

This section could give a general understanding of what the model is trying to show or explain.
This model represents that populaion grows rapidly most envoirnments. The behavior
for the turtles to move randomly and for the male and female turtles to mate and reproduce
The turtles move randomly around and some are male and some are female. The male
turtles are blue and the female turtles are pink. The turtles have a life span and
after their life span is completed they die and dissapear.
The initial population determines the number of turtles that the model begins with.
The birthrate determines the chance that the female turtle will reproduce.
The lifespan determine how long the turtles live.
The age to reproduce determines when the females can have offspring
Your can make the reproduction rate for the turtles younger or increase lifespan. This
would result in the increaes in the population. Witout a capacity the population
would grow and be out of control.
You could make the turles die of starvation before their lifespan is complete
if the capicity is reached.
