| AgentSheets Model | In this assignment, I had to build a model about the way predators and prey interact using the program AgentSheets. I chose to make my model about grass, rabbits, and wolves. In the model, the grass grows, the rabbits eat the grass, and the wolves eat the rabbits. |
| NetLogo Model | For this assignment, I created a model about the growth and reduction of a population using the program NetLogo. NetLogo not only involves using important modeling concepts, but also includes a coding aspect. This new program taught me a lot about building complex, real world models. |
| Excel Model | In this project, I created a model using the spreadsheet program Excel. My model shows the rate at which a forest fire spreads and includes complex features such as slider bars and graphs. |
| Vensim Model | For this assignment, I had to make a model about the amount of medicine in a patient at any given time. To make the model, I had to know the proper dosage of the medicine, the time between doses, the patient's excretion rate of the medicine, the therapeutic range of the medicine, and the toxic range. This complex and realistic assignment taught me a great deal about planning the intracacies of a model. |
| Group Website Project | For this project, me and two other apprentices formed a group and constructed a website using HTML. This project taught me a lot about teamwork and working well with others. In addition, I feel that it fortified my abilities with HTML. |
| Group Restaurant Project | For this project, I was part of a small group that made a database of restaurants near the Durham Centre. In this database, we included important information such as a restaurant's prices, address, and directions to the restaurant. The project my group made enables us to add to the database, display its contents, and search through it. |
