My Future Goals

Throughout my time at Shodor, I have learned a lot of interesting things about computers and science. Every single project and assignment taught me a new lesson or helped me understand a new concept. For example, when I first learned HTML, I had no idea that the web was build around such an interesting coding language. I was immediately interested in HTML and started to construct my own websites and projects.
In addition, being at Shodor has taught me a great deal about computational science and mathematics in general. Through the activities at the Interactivate website and various model-making projects, I have learned a lot about how natural systems function and interact. Also, the routine assignments in the Apprentice Mathimatical Component have taught me new math tricks that can be useful for finding the area of shapes, doing arithmatic, and working with probability. Overall, I feel that the skills and abilities that I have learned by working at Shodor will greatly benefit me in the future by improving my knowledge of computers, programming, mathematics, modeling, and science.
With the knowledge that I have acquired from Shodor, I plan to do well in future jobs and in school. I plan to continue with high school and go to a four year College or University. For my future career goals, I wish to become some type of scientist, computer technician, or doctor. I feel that in any vocation that I choose, my work at Shodor will help me further my career and my life in general.
