Skateboarding
Skateboarding is my favorite passtime, and also the most painfull one. My friend got me into it. If you're looking for somthin' fun to do and not afraid to bruise yourself up, then buy a skate board and start. Good brands do buy from are Alien Workshop and World industries if you have the money. Otherwise go to a store like DSG and get one from Chase or CAS California. A good skatepark in NC is Ryan's World. If your good go to the one in Chapel Hill. Its a big half pipe thats paved in the center and has 2 jumps, a quarter pipe, and a grind rail.
YLFT
YLFT is a program that sends 8th graders into a buisness, where they get to watch people do their jobs and qote, "Explore the world of work." Yay. But as weird as it sounds, it's pretty fun. However,MISS THE FIRST DAY I wont go into too much detail here because the wrong people may be reading this, but you sit in a classroom for 8 hours and listin to lectures on such important things as eddiqitte. In one "activity" We got in groups and tried to make a bridge out of a construction se that would collapse if you breathed on it. When I asked how one part fit together, the teacher started screamin at me (read this in a southern accent) "BOY, IF YA WAS MY EMPLOYEE I WOUDA FIRED YA ALREADY.Back in my day employees were dependable, you never have to tell 'em anythin'..........."and on and on. But the food was good. Luckily we only did that for a day. The next day we got shipped off to work. I went to Shodor. Its awsome. I've learned Stella, Perl, and HTML. The people there are all really hard workers (heheh.)
